a lot of other guests have already said especially Nelly Samie. It hurts to
see the country my late father and mother were so fiercely proud of ruined by
thugs who change Islam to suit their own sick twisted purposes. It is written
that one day men would twist the word and it's happened. The Taliban murderers
(I don't include peace loving ones if there are any), probably brainwashed by
mullahs high on power think they are so just and pious for killing their
fellow men. I hope they realise what will happen to them when they die. I'm no
expert on the Koran but I think they are putting words into God's mouth. Allah
sees all and was expecting this. I get a lump in my throat when I think of the
way women are treated without an ounce of humanity. And all the fathers and
innocent children slaughtered for no reason. The country raped beyond
recognition. I hope and pray for a return to the beautiful Afghanistan
populated by the kind people my father often spoke of and who I remember from
my childhood. I have old photo's of breathtaking beauty. A beauty that no one
but Allah had the right to take away. My greatest wish is to one day visit the
land of my ancestors when Afghans are again united and peace and sanity

because I'm doing a report about Afghanistan and the rights of their women.
I've gotten from many different sources, including this one, that women are
beaten, stoned, and killed for making noise when they walk, showing as much as
an inch of skin from their burqa, and being seen w/out a male relative. They
also cannot work and are restricted from medical sources. I know that the
Taliban people say it's to protect their women, but I think it's way too
excessiive and just plain brutal. I wish the Taliban people would consider
giving their women more rights because they are isolated from everything. From
a woman to the women in Afghanistan, I wish you luck, a long life, and to be
strong in your country. I hope you get more rights soon.
